ISIS executioner killed: ‘Russia’s Jihadi John’ picked off in battle for Mosul

ONE of the most notorious executioners defending Mosul has been killed, according to reports on social media.
Russia’s very own Jihadi John – Anatoliy Zemlianka – has been killed in the ISIS stronghold of Mosul, Iraq.
He was nicknamed Jihadi Tolik last December after appearing in a horrific beheading video.
Just like Jihadi John, he provoked widespread fear in his homeland with more gruesome executions.
He even came to symbolise Russia’s fight against the death cult – otherwise known as Daesh.
But it has now emerged that the terror fanatic was killed in a strike on the city last month.
The news comes as the battle for Mosul hots up – with the death cult digging in for the final defence.
Earlier today it emerged that ISIS fighters are getting picked off by a rogue sniper waging guerrilla war.
Just like Jihadi John in the UK, Russian media has reported heavily on Zemlianka’s life.
His favourite band was Rammstein and he was a popular figure among the terror cell’s Russian speaking contingent.
He was not the first Russian militant to broadcast a beheading though – coming after the infamous Abu Banat.
