Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wedding venue CONFIRMED for May
PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding venue has been confirmed as St George's Chapel in Windsor.
The couple will wed in May and Meghan will be baptised and confirmed before the ceremony.
The royal family will pay for the wedding and Meghan intends to become a British citizen, Kensington Palace has confirmed.
Daily Star Online previously revealed the most likely wedding venues, with Westminster Abbey the odds-on favourite.
St George's will provide a small, intimate venue for the wedding.
Former royal butler Paul Burrell has already hedged his bets on the church.
He told ITV: “Small! It’s going to be smaller (than William and Kate’s). I’d say St George’s Chapel Windsor.”
He also referenced the Queen – who spends most of her time in Windsor Castle – and said the location would make it easier for her to attend.
Paul added: “It’s a beautiful space and it’s not very far for Granny to come down the hill.”
Harry's dad Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles had their televised blessing there back in 2005 and the Abbey can host around 800 guests.
Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, will carry out their first official engagement together in Nottingham on Friday.
The Queen will attend the ceremony despite Meghan being a divorcee.
The Suits actress divorced her previous husband, Hollywood film producer Trevor Engelson, in 2013 after two years of marriage.
