Chelsea hopeful of sealing next summer signing before Sunday's Community Shield


 
CHELSEA are hopeful of sealing their fifth major transfer deal of the summer before Sunday’s Community Shield clash with Arsenal.
 
 The Blues have added Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata to the ranks so far.
 
 Ethan Ampadu have also joined from Exeter, but he’s set to link-up with the club’s development squad.
 
 And The Telegraph report Chelsea are upbeat about their chances of completing another transfer before the weekend.
 
 It’s not stated who that player is, however.
 
 They’ve been linked with Antonio Candreva and Alex Sandro this summer.
 
 Reports from Italy suggest a swoop for Candreva is close, but Sandro is more likely to stay at Juventus.
 
 Fernando Llorente, of Swansea, is also on Chelsea’s radar.
 
 The Telegraph add Antonio Conte is hopeful of sealing another four more arrivals before the end of the transfer window at 11pm on August 31.
 
 Chelsea left it late to finish their business last summer.
 
 David Luiz and Marcos Alonso were both signed on deadline day and went on to play key roles in the club’s Premier League title win.
 
 Conte is keen to strengthen his squad as the club prepare for a return to European football next term.
