Air ambulance for Alfie Evans arrives at hospital – will 'take him to Italy'
AN AIR ambulance has reportedly arrived at Alder Hey hospital ready to fly Alfie Evans to Italy.
The helicopter is outside the children's hospital, according to the Christian Legal Centre.
It comes as the family of Alfie await a decision at today's emergency hearing.
Alfie, who is just 23-months old, was reportedly taken off life support at around 10.20pm on Monday.
But dad Thomas Evans says his son survived through the night and is still breathing.
Mr Justice Hayden will oversee the hearing today was began at around 3.30pm in the Family Division of the High Court in Manchester.
On Facebook, Alfie's mum Kate James said: "Alfie has been allowed oxygen and water.
"How amazing is he.
"No matter what happens he has already proved these doctors wrong."
This morning, Tom told ITV's Good Morning Britain: "He is still working, he's doing as good as he can.
"But we do need him to be supported, in the next hour it's going to be hard but we will need him to be supported in the next hour or two."
