This project All Through Sport for All: Perspectives on Sport for Persons with Disabilities in Europe is led jointly by the European Observatory of Sport and Employment (EOSE) and the European Paralympic Committee (EPC) and is funded by the Preparatory Action Sports Commission European.
The project aims to assess progress and highlight the future direction and prospects of sport for disabled people in Europe in the dimensions of political participation, infrastructure, manpower and events.
This project All Through Sport for All aims to contribute to a better access to a wide network of opportunities in sport for disabled people by describing the current situation. Then, the project aims to provide an Action Plan for Future Challenges and establish a Strategic Working Group on Sport for Persons with Disabilities in Europe. As a result of EU citizens and young people with disabilities should be able to build through sport self-confidence, motivation and learning skills, and have a more independent life.
The project runs from March 1, 2010 until February 28, 2011, involving 16 organizations from 11 European countries.
The European Partnership involves a strong combination of leading industry players sport as Olympic and Paralympic Committees, Universities, European networks and national decision makers.
