MICHAEL DAWSON's Euro 2012 dream looks over after he was injured in Tottenham’s FA Cup victory last night.

The 28-year-old defender was hoping to fight his way into the England squad for the summer, but suffered suspected ankle ligament damage against Stevenage.

Dawson, only recently back from Achilles trouble, went straight to hospital and is now fearing the worst with the international tournament just three months away.

Spurs survived a wobble after Joel Byrom put League One Stevenage in front from the penalty spot after just four minutes.

But two goals from Jermain Defoe and an Emmanuel Adebayor penalty sent Spurs through to a home quarter-final clash with Bolton.
