EDEN HAZARD has admitted he apologised to Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese lost his job.
Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December, seven months after winning the Premier League.

The Blues made a dreadful start to the defence of their title and the manager paid the price.
 
 Hazard admits Chelsea's players let Mourinho down, and the Belgian made a personal apology to his former boss when he got the chop.
 
 "It was a shared responsibility, but the players are the main culprits," he told Le Parisien.
 
 "We are still in the field...he paid the price because we have not been good.
 
 "Moreover, after his dismissal, I sent him a text message telling him that I was sorry and to ask for forgiveness for not being at my normal level lately."
 
 Hazard spearheaded Chelsea's domestic double of Capital One Cup and Premier League title last season.
 
 His fine performances ensured he swept the board at the end of season Player of the Season award ceremonies.
 
 But the 25-year-old failed to replicate his displays this season, with his first goal of the campaign not coming until the 5-1 FA Cup win at MK Dons last month.
 
 "I will be frank: it is not good at all," Hazard added when quizzed about his form.
