BOLTON are hoping to tie up a deal for ex-Rangers kid Gregg Wylde in the early part of next week.

Aston Villa, Everton and League One Charlton were also in the hunt for Wylde, 20, who took redundancy from the stricken club last week.

But Bolton boss Owen Coyle believes he is on the brink of completing a free transfer deal for the Scotland under-21 star.

The Bolton manager said: “He’s a wide player who excites me.

“He’s one that we tried to sign in August.”

The move would have to be ratified by the Premier League as Bolton have already submitted their squad list for the second part of the season.
