Aston Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo speaks out amid speculation surrounding his job


 
ROBERTO DI MATTEO insists the results will come for lowly Aston Villa.
 
Villa face Barnsley at Oakwell tonight and a win would be the club's first away victory in 416 days.
 
And the Italian reckons it's about time his side recorded a victory on the road.
 
 "They have started very well," Di Matteo said.
 
 “It’s a tough game. But we need to remember we are doing well even if the results don’t reflect that.
 
 “We are so very close to reaping the rewards of our work.”
 
 Aston Villa have started the season slowly and currently sit 17th in the Championship table.
 
 Di Matteo splashed the cash over the summer and his future at the club looks in doubt after less than four months in charge.
