Portugal heads to East

The National Swimming Selection for Down syndrome is already in Taipei (Taiwan) where he will participate in the 5th World Championship Swimming DSIS, to be held in this city between 3:07 October.

The national team's expectations are high, after five medals won at the last World Cup held in 2008 in the Algarve town of Albufeira. We have to emphasize that part of this selection, the swimmer Mannie NG - world record 200m Backstroke and responsible for winning medals in five of Albufeira, José Vieira - Europe's record of 25m Breaststroke, Ricardo Pires - Europe's record of various events, Adriana Reis - holder of several world records for Youth and Europe and still Telmo Dias, Jose Teixeira, Filipe Santos and Ana Castro.

Ricardo Pires back to win the bronze


On the 2nd day of racing of the 5th World Swimming Championships in Down syndrome, the highlight goes to the swimmer MAPADI Povoa do Varzim, Ricardo Pires who returned to Portugal to bring the bronze in the 200m event Styles for mosaics. Portugal has won three medals in the event, but the most important fact is overrun by all the swimmers who authentically Portuguese have sprayed their personal brands, translated in most cases on record and even National European and World.
