PSG TO LAUNCH £40M MARIO BALOTELLI BID

PARIS ST-GERMAIN are ready to offer £40million for Mario Balotelli in January – and trigger a tug of war for the Italian striker with AC and Inter Milan.

PSG’s move for Balotelli, 22, will appeal more to Man City for financial reasons, as that fee would match their valuation after his success for Italy at Euro 2012.


In contrast, AC Milan are proposing a loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal.


Meanwhile, Balotelli’s former club – Inter Milan – are also eyeing the situation.


And a return to Italy is the preferred destination for the City ace as his on-off girlfriend Raffaella Fico is expecting his child.


He is buying a £1m apartment in Brescia – an hour from Milan.


The Daily Star Sunday revealed last week that City boss Roberto Mancini has been told that he must sell a striker – one from Balotelli, Edin Dzeko and Carlos Tevez – if he wants Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao.


And that could now be Balotelli. It is just a question of whether PSG – managed by ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti – or Milan will be his destination.


Chelsea, meanwhile, are confident they can beat City to £45m-rated Falcao.


And, as exclusively reported in the Daily Star Sunday a fortnight ago, that could mean a swap deal with Fernando Torres returning to Atletico.
