Huddersfield boss David Wagner backs Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool to win the Premier League


 
HUDDERSFIELD boss David Wagner believes his close friend Jurgen Klopp will guide Liverpool to Premier League glory this season.
 
Wagner and Klopp are set to go head-to-head for the first time this term when newly-promoted Huddersfield travel to Anfield at the end of October.
 
 Wagner has been a revelation since joining the Terriers, helping them into the top-flight for the first time in their history.
 
 The 45-year-old has often been likened to his German counterpart Klopp and reckons the Liverpool boss is set for big things this season.
 
 When asked who will be lifting the Premier League crown come May, Wagner told Bild: "Liverpool."
 
 Liverpool finished fourth in the top-flight last season, 17 points behind champions Chelsea.
 
 Klopp and co will need to improve significantly if they are to end their 28-year wait for a league title.
 
 Huddersfield, meanwhile, are gearing up to take their Premier League bow.
 
 Wagner's men kick off their season by making the trip to Crystal Palace on August 12.
 
 Wagner said: "It is unquestionable that we are the biggest underdog of all time in the Premier League.
 
 "People have been going to the stadium here for many years and have always seen this typical British football.
 
 "And suddenly two clowns come from Germany [Wagner and his assistant Christoph Buhler], and within four weeks the football looks quite different!"
