The defending champion won his second SW19 crown last year against world No.2 Federer – a man with SEVEN All England Club triumphs to his name.
Without Andy Murray in the mix, the fans on Centre Court are likely to switch their allegiance to the Swiss ace who was superb in his demolition of Scot Murray in Friday’s semi-final.
Djokovic, 28, said: “This is his where Roger loves to play. This is where he is loved.
“This is where he plays his best tennis. It’s his court. He loves it.
“This is the biggest challenge I have faced. Roger and I have played many times. He’s one of my greatest rivals. He’s so good and so very consistent. We all know how good he is. He’s the greatest ever.”
Federer, 33, will eclipse Pete Sampras as the man to hold the most Wimbledon titles in the Open era if he wins today.
He said: “It’s great to play Novak because he’s a great player. He’s become very match-tough. He always shows up."
