VICTOR MOSES BID COULD SEE DANIEL STURRIDGE LEAVE CHELSEA
CHELSEA are still hopeful of signing Wigan star Victor Moses despite having an opening offer rejected, it has been reported.
The 21-year-old has yet to sign a new deal at the DW Stadium even though he has just a year left on his contract.
And it is thought Chelsea have made a move for the Nigeria international as they look to take advantage of his reluctance to sign on with Roberto Martinez's side.
Even though the Latics have rejected the Stamford Bridge outfit's initial bid, the clubs are expected to continue talks over the former Crystal Palace player.
With Salomon Kalou leaving Chelsea this summer, boss Roberto Di Matteo is in need of cover on the wing and up front.
But a move for Moses might depend on whether Daniel Sturridge remains in west London.
The former Manchester City star is thought to be considering his future after being frozen out by Di Matteo in the last few weeks of the season.
