Manchester United hero makes shock Liverpool claim... and Red Devils fans won't like it! MANCHESTER UNITED hero Dwight Yorke has backed new Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp to end the Merseysiders' 25-year wait for the League title.
The former Borussia Dortmund manager was installed as Brendan Rodgers' replacement in the first week of October.
His appointment as the Reds' commander in chief has given Liverpool fans a renewed sense of optimism and the belief that they can finally get their hands on the Premier League title.
Yorke, who spent four years at Old Trafford, agrees with that notion and reckons the charismatic German will bring the League trophy to Anfield in the near future.
“Under this man they have a very good chance. I like his style of management," the 44-year-old said.
"He seems to get the best out of players, gets them fired up and has come with a good pedigree.
“I don’t think the squad is anywhere near good enough to be challenging.
"But if he gets his own way and brings his players in it won’t be long before they’re there or thereabouts.”
