Athletes shine in the Azorean National Adapted Sports
 

 
The Azores and managed to record 11 titles in the National Championship Adapted Athletics, held in Luso.

The athletes were from the Azorean Association of Parents and Friends of Disabled Children in the Azores Archipelago (APACDAA) of Larajeiras Club (LC), the Christian Youth Association of Terceira Island (ACMIT) and the Center for Occupational Activities Santa Casa da Mercy Madalena do Pico (CAOSCMMP).
Ana Sofia Carvalho (APACDAA) has won the national champion in the 100 meters with new national record (15.24 seconds) and 200 meters, also a record (32.75).
In the men's 400 meters march, André Braga (APACDAA) has won the national championship, while the 4x100m Relay title was obtained by Ana Sofia Carvalho, Mario Paiva, Carlos and Pedro Benevides Eleuterio (APACDAA).
Mario Paiva (APACDAA) in the Shot Put (4 kg), Amanda Sousa (LC) in the women's 50 meters and Throw Ball, Maria Joao Silva (CAOSCMMP) in March 1500 meters, José Fabrício (ACMIT) in male and 50 meters in the long jump unbalanced and Jorge Lorenzo (ACMIT), was also anointed national champions.
Highlights for the second place by Peter Eleuterio (APACDAA) in the 100 meters, Elizabeth Leite (LC) in the Shot Put (2 kg) and in the javelin, José Manuel (ACMIT) Walking in the 400 meters, Emidio Peace (ACMIT) in ball throw, Marco Santos (CAOSCMH) in the javelin and Maria Joao Silva (CAOSCMM) in Lanlamento Weight.
In third place were Carlos Benevides (APACDAA) in Triathlon male, Bruno Paulino (APACDAA) in the Shot Put (4 kg), André Braga (APACDAA) over 50 meters, Jorge Lorenzo (ACMIT) in the 100 meters and Jose Manuel (ACMIT) in the long jump unbalanced.
