QPR boss Harry Redknapp hopes to cause Man City's players more pain

HARRY REDKNAPP wants to turn Manchester City's awful week into a nightmare.

Struggling Rangers take on the wobbling champions today, who have only won one of their last five matches.

City's Champions League dream is hanging by a thread after their midweek loss to CSKA Moscow.

And boss Manuel Pellegrini admits his side are suffering a crisis in confidence.

Now Redknapp is convinced Rangers can deepen their hole with the help of their fans.

He said: "The crowd will be important to us, City have got superstars, an amazing squad - but we're at home.

"With Loftus Road's tight pitch and a good atmosphere, we can give anyone a game. We can try and put them under pressure.

"We will have to play with the same enthusiasm we had in the last few games and if we do, the crowd will be with us and we have a chance.

"I certainly don't underestimate City. Sergio Aguero is just an amazing player. Yaya Toure is world class. They have top quality.

"We'll have to be at our best but if we are then we can do it."

Rangers have revived in recent weeks with decent performances against Liverpool and Chelsea and a victory over relegation rivals Aston Villa.

Redknapp said: "Performances make the difference. We are playing better.

"The lads are also looking around thinking there is competition for places for the first time this season with our injuries clearing up - which can only be good."

Redknapp plans to come out with all guns blazing.

He said: "I feel as we are at home we've got to have a go and see if we can pull off a big result."
