Golden Cup Basketball IV opens in a wheelchair on Saturday
On April 30 and May 1, Golden will host the Fifth Golden Cup of Wheelchair Basketball.
The games take place in the gymnasium of SESI of Dourados, with the opening scheduled for 14 hours, with the first match played by the team on Wheels X Pantanal Sharks Ponta Grossa.
16.00 come on court staff on Wheels Golden X losing the first game and 18:30, the team winning the second game on Wheels Golden X. On the second day, May 1, enters the court the two teams that add up the most points.
The Golden Cup of Wheelchair Basketball happened since 2006 when the Eletrosul as sponsor of the project since 2005, when a first sponsorship was made possible the purchase of 10 wheelchair adapted to the needs of players, all with disabilities, in different degrees, as well as basketballs, baskets, uniforms and shelters and salary for a coach / team monitor for a period of one year. In other years, the sponsorship was uneventful, with resources to maintain the ongoing project, administered by the Center for Support to Disabled People Physics of Dourados, throughout the period.
By regulation, the Golden Cup of Wheelchair Basketball aims to encourage sports activities for people with disabilities, raise the technical level of wheelchair basketball in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul and to promote integration without restriction or discrimination the physically handicapped in the community.
