UFC star chokes out opponent in 'nastiest finish EVER' before calling out champion

UFC star Ilir Latifi left fans shocked after his savage standing submission choked Saint Preux unconscious.

The 34-year-old light heavyweight (20-5) battled with Preux early on at the UFC Orlando event in Florida, US last night – kicking at his legs before going for the body.

His US opponent (33-11) was then cornered against the fence, allowing Latifi to unload punches.

Preux stood strong but his counterpart then grabbed his neck and caught him in a guillotine choke.

He quickly tapped out with his left hand, but referee Jorge Alonso was on the other side and didn’t see.

Moments later, his body went limp and slumped to the canvas.

Fans watching the moment at UFC Orlando were horrified at the end to the bout.

“Oh my god Ilir Latifi with the scariest finish I have ever seen,” one wrote.

Another added: “Man, just ruthless stuff from Latifi.”

And a third commented: “Latifi! OSP is unconscious! What a damn finish!”

Following the impressive victory, Latifi chose to call out light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, who was watching in the crowd.

“You know I have a lot of respect for you, but let’s fight for the title, you and me,” he said, pointing at the fighter.

“Light heavyweight or heavyweight, I’m up for it. Big respect, you’re a legend.”
