Mauricio Pochettino: I will not get involved with Claudio Ranieri's mind games
MAURICIO POCHETTINO has refused to get involved in Claudio Ranieri’s mind games ahead of a potentially-decisive week.
Tottenham travel to West Ham tomorrow and host Arsenal on Saturday in two pivotal matches.
They are two points behind Leicester ahead of the midweek fixtures with Foxes chief Ranieri describing Spurs as 'title favourites'.
But Pochettino said: “He starts to play a lot. It’s too early in the season.
“We’re in a good place but for us it’s always the same, to win the next game. For me, they are on top and they have the pressure too, like all the teams below.
“We don’t feel that. For us, it’s important to keep our level of fitness, our mentality and we’ll see what happens. It’s too soon to start to speak about the end of the season.
“In football, it’s good to play like this and joke. We know from the beginning of the season what was our objective.
“At the end of last season our objective was clear, to reduce the gap. We’ve learned a lot and improved in our way. We only need to fight in every game.
