MotoGP: Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso and Marc Marquez top tips for Qatar

MARC MARQUEZ will secure MotoGP glory this season - but Andrea Dovizioso is expected to triumph in Qatar.

That’s according to bookies Paddy Power who reckon Marquez is a dead cert to take the 2018 season by storm.

Paddy Power spokesman Lee Price said: “It’s not mind-bending to make a reigning World Champion favourite to retain their title.

“But Marc Marquez being odds on to do so reflects his Moto GP dominance.”

The 25-year-old is the youngest rider ever to win four titles.

He secured glory twice two years consecutively in 2016 and 2017 and in 2013 and 2014.

BT Sport pundit Neil Hodgson isn’t convinced Marquez is a sure thing on Sunday though.

“No, thankfully not,” Hodgson told Starsport.

“He’s the favourite and if I’m putting money down it's going on Marquez.

“But the beauty of our sport is you just don’t know.”

Paddy Power reckon Ducati ace Dovizioso will hit the ground running in Qatar.

He’s favourite to take the chequered flag on the Losail International Circuit.

MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi - who penned a new two-year deal this week - isn’t expected to be a serious contender.
