Goals from Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck gave the Gunners a 2-1 win at Old Trafford - their first victory at the Theatre of Dreams since 2006 - with Wayne Rooney replying for United.
Shaw had suggested in the build-up to the game that he was sure the Red Devils would be the team progressing to the semi-finals.
He tweeted Oxlade-Chamberlain, Calum Chambers and Jack Wilshere on Sunday saying he was looking forward to seeing them, followed by the hashtag #sorrynotsorry.
But Oxlade-Chamberlain replied with a picture of him smirking and the same hashtag following last night's victory.
It seems the England flyer was in good spirits despite being forced off after 50 minutes with a hamstring problem.
Arsenal will face Bradford or Reading in the semi-finals at Wembley as they look to defend the cup.
