Man United and Chelsea target Nathaniel Clyne: My agent is negotiating contract NATHANIEL CLYNE insists he's happy to stay at Southampton - despite interest from the Premier League big boys.
Manchester United and Chelsea have both shown an interest in snapping up the 24-year-old England star, whose agent is negotiating a new contract at Saints.
Clyne's current deal runs out at the end of next season and Starsport understands United are winning the race to sign him.
But Clyne is adamant he's not desperate to leave St Mary's.
He told the Southampton Daily Echo: "I am enjoying my football for Southampton, playing week-in, week-out and it is an up-and-coming club.
"I am happy playing for Southampton and happy to stay at Southampton as well.
"My agent is negotiating, so I will just leave it with my agent and I am just going to concentrate on playing my football."
Louis van Gaal wants the right-back to replace Rafael, who has been told he has no future at the club.
