NO THIAGO SILVA FOR MANCHESTER CITY
MANCHESTER CITY have been warned off a move for AC Milan's Thiago Silva.
The Brazilian international, who is valued at more than £40million by the Serie A club, is reported to have attracted interest from both City and Spanish giants Barcelona.
But club director Adriano Galliani said that the 27-year-old would be staying at the San Siro.
"Thiago Silva is not up for sale, and will stay at Milan next season for certain," he told a Spanish radio station.
City boss Roberto Mancini is attracted to Silva's abilities as both a centre-back and a defensive midfielder.
But it appears the Italian will now have to switch his focus to Athletic Bilbao's Javier Martinez.
The £25million-rated player impressed as his club reached this season's Europa League final and will go to Euro 2012 as part of Spain's squad.
