PETER WILSON SHOOTS GOLD
PETER WILSON completed a golden few minutes for Team GB after claiming victory in the men's shooting double trap.
The 25-year-old secured the gold medal just minutes after canoeists Tim Baillie and Etienne Stott also claimed the top podium spot in the men's double.
Wilson was ahead for much of the competition and maintained his advantage to finish two shots clear of Sweden's Hakan Dahlby, with Russia's Vasily Mosin in third.
The Dorset lad, who was the youngest man in the final, held his nerve in impressive fashion to claim Team GB's first shooting medal since Richard Faulds triumphed in the same event in Sydney in 2000.
