"Paralympic Movement in the World" discussion in Portugal 
The Paralympic Committee of Portugal organized the June 8, at the Center for Medical Rehabilitation Alcoitão the International Seminar "Paralympic Movement in the World - Present and Future."
This initiative aims to assert the international Paralympic movement, known success stories and deepen knowledge about the Paralympics. The seminar will be attended by the President of the International Paralympic Committee, Sir Philip Craven, among other national and international guests.
According to Humberto Santos, president of the Paralympic Committee of Portugal (CPP) "with the organization of this event, the CPP seeks to share experiences and knowledge about the Paralympic Movement in the World and Paralympic Movement Lusophone boost." "This initiative, already under development, aims to unite the Portuguese-speaking countries, providing better conditions for the athletes," he adds.
According to the organizers, the presence of Sir Philip Craven, President of International Paralympic Committee, intends to make a call to action for the Portuguese and, through international profile, promote the various sports agents in the country.
Under the slogan "Equality, Inclusion and Sports Excellence," the objective of the CPP is to develop inclusive, extending the generality of the paralympic sports clubs, through the involvement of federations and clubs and how to create a new sports culture.
At the seminar, during the morning, have a reflection on the worldwide Paralympic movement, with specific references to the cases of Brazil, Portuguese and Lusophone.
In the afternoon, we present three examples of "Equal Opportunities and Inclusion", with the presence of the Portuguese Federation of Rowing, Sailing and handball, which address the work they are developing in adapted sports.
It also exposed the "Project London 2012 Paralympics," the Head of Mission of Portugal, Carlos Lopes, and a practical case, the Spanish Paralympic Committee.
