Brendan Rodgers ready to raid Chelsea for first Celtic signing



BRENDAN RODGERS is planning to raid former club Chelsea for one of his first signings at Celtic.
 
 The Northern Irishman was confirmed as the Bhoys’ new manager last week and has wasted little time in identifying which areas of his squad need strengthening.
 
 And the Sun on Sunday claim the former Liverpool boss has identified Chelsea’s young right-back Fankaty Dabo as a target
 
 Rodgers, who spent four years at Chelsea, is reported to have contacted his old employers about a loan deal for the 20-year-old.
 
 Dabo, an England Under-20 international, is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Blues but has been tipped to eventually make the step up.
 
 He could be allowed to leave on loan next season in order to gain more experience.
 
 And it is claimed Rodgers hopes having the opportunity to play in the Champions League will give Celtic an advantage should a battle for Dabo’s signature emerge.
 
 Dabo is under contract with Chelsea until next summer.
