TOTTENHAM JOIN ARSENAL IN RACE FOR KEEPER EMILIO VIVIANO
TOTTENHAM are set to battle rivals Arsenal for Italian keeper Emilio Viviano, according to reports.
New Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is keen to bring in a new stopper this summer, as he looks for a long-term replacement for veteran Brad Fridel.
And the Portuguese coach is thought to have settled on Viviano as a likely target.
The 26-year-old is co-owned by Serie A sides Inter Milan and Palermo, having spent last season at the latter.
But following Inter's capture of fellow keeper Samir Handanovic this week, Viviano is now available for sale.
A bidding war is likely to develop for the Italy international, with Arsenal and Fiorentina also thought to be tracking the star.
