MEN'S PAIR PICK UP BRONZE
TEAM GB claimed another medal on the rowing lake today as the men's pair of George Nash and William Satch fought hard to secure a bronze medal.
The New Zealand crew of Eric Murray and Hamish Bond dominated the race from start to finish to clinch gold.
But a three-way fight for the other podium places thrilled the Eton Dorney crowd.
And despite missing out to France for silver, the Brit duo saw off a challenge from Italy to clinch third-place.
Having only come together as a pair earlier this year, it was a remarkable achievement for Nash and Satch.
"It feels really good. I can't really believe it. Six months ago I didn't even think I would be coming here as a spare, I don't know about George. We tried to keep it simple, raw and basic," Satch told the BBC after the race.
