Tour de France winner Chris Froome eyes victory in Spain
 
TOUR DE FRANCE winner Chris Froome cured his celebration hangover with a bacon sarnie.
 
 But the record-breaking Team Sky rider could soon be back on the strict diet after revealing he is tempted by another grand tour challenge in Spain next month.
 
 After becoming the first Brit to win two Tour de France titles, Froome is enjoying a well-earned rest after three gruelling weeks in the saddle.
 
 He said: “It’s going to be great now just to switch off for a few days. I just had a bacon butty this morning and it felt fantastic just to have something I haven’t had in many months.”
 
 But the 30-year old is already weighing up back-to-back grand tour titles with a potential assault on the Vuelta de Espana.
 
 “I would say it’s a bit early to say 100 percent but I think that could potentially be on the cards, certainly,” said Froome.
 
 “I know it would be a massive challenge to back it up with another grand tour now, especially to go there with the aim of going for the general classification again.
 
 “But yeah, that’s at the back of the mind.”
 
 And with the race in Spain starting in Puerto Banus, Marbella on August 22, Froome cannot afford to put his feet up for too long.
 
 Team Sky boss Sir Dave Brailsford has advised his star rider to give such a gruelling schedule plenty of thought, particularly as Froome and wife Michelle have a baby on the way.
 
 “The reality is you never know how the guys are going to come out of three weeks of racing,” said Brailsford.
 
 “They need to just relax, take time and feel good about what they’ve just done. He’s the first British guy ever to win two Tour de Frances, it’s incredible what he’s done.
 
 “I don’t think we should be encouraging him to look ahead at the minute.
 
 “I’d encourage him to relax, just spend a bit of time with your family with his son coming later in the year, and absorb it all.”
