The 22 visually impaired incorporating NGOs and Cultural Society and Embryo Environmentalist "We see with the Hands," the city of Dawn (RS) had a unique opportunity this week: riding a bicycle. For the activity, was constructed and adapted a bicycle dual, which allows the blind to practice the sport, accompanied by a guide.

The first test of the equipment occurred in the square Joao Goulart. Now, train the visually impaired to participate in the 8th Eco bike rides of Environment Week, the next day June 6, at Daybreak. The route will begin near the hypermarket Big and follow for three hours, across the city. According to the NGO representative embryo, Joshua Aguiar, during the ride held last year in the visually impaired walked ride other bikes. "This year will be different. They will literally ride with the bike," said Aguiar, remembering that this was the first time that blind people could practice the sport. "The emotion was very strong during the test. With ease, they managed to take several turns in the street," he said.

During the activity, the bike won a special name: ODKV. The acronym means "to see here and there do not see." The challenge of building adaptable vehicle came from members of the NGO We see with the hands, an institution that serves the visually handicapped in the State School High School Senador Salgado Filho in Daybreak. The bike has been adapted by a partnership between a cyclist and professional locksmiths.

The goal, from now, according to the representative of the embryo, is to build other bikes for use by the visually impaired. "We won the first challenge, it was possible the device. Now we want to multiply it to allow access for more people," says Aguiar.
