Liverpool want Portugal's answer to Jamie Vardy: He's valued at £34m


 
LIVERPOOL are reportedly eyeing the Jamie Vardy of Portugal - Porto striker Moussa Marega.
 
German daily Bild reckon Jurgen Klopp is keeping tabs on the Malian striker, along with their rivals Tottenham.
 
 The newspaper have likened the 25-year-old to Leicester sensation Vardy following his rise from obscurity to the big time.
 
 Marega was languishing in the French lower leagues before moving to Portugal.
 
 He was signed by Porto from Maritimo in January 2016 and was loaned to Vitoria Guimaraes in the summer.
 
 Since making the move, he's dazzled at Porto's top-flight rivals and has bagged 12 goals.
 
 Porto realise they have a star in the making and have included a £34m buyout clause in his current contract.
 
 Despite, his lofty asking price Jurgen Klopp is still very interested in the powerful target man.
 
 It's suggested he's had scouts monitoring his progress all season.
