BREAKING: Baby murder probe as police send up CHOPPER to hunt on the run suspect


 
A BABY boy has died and a baby girl is critical after being discovered by police in a flat in London – and the police have launched a helicopter to hunt for a suspect.
 
Met Police were called to the flat in Hackney last night and discovered two children, aged 1, injured at the property Wilberforce Road.
 
 The babies were taken to hospital by the ambulance – but the boy was pronounced dead at 12.50am.
 
 The girl remains in hospital in a critical condition.
 
 Murder cops have not confirmed details of the circumstances of the injuries.
 
 Police are investigating and there has been no arrest at this stage.
 
 The Met said formal identification and a post-mortem examination needs to be carried out.
 
 A spokesman for the Met Police said: "Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating an incident in which a boy died and a girl sustained critical injuries.
 
 "Police were called at around 23:10 on Saturday, 18 March, to two children injured at a flat in Wilberforce Road, N4.
 
 "Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and found a boy and girl - both aged one - with critical injuries."
