SHOPPING mad Brits are being mugged off by a £4 item from Primark – because nobody can get their hands on it.
 
Primark is the place to be to pick up a bargain.
 
 Thousands of Brits descend on stores across the UK everyday to s-plash their cash on clothing and accessories.
 
 But one item has left some shoppers hot under the collar.
 
 A Beauty and the Beast-themed purse appears to be driving shoppers wild.
 
 But the purse, which is shaped like Chip the teacup from the Disney film, has apparently sold out in stores across the UK.
 
 Now desperate shoppers have taken to social media to speak out about the shortage.
 
 One wrote on Twitter: "I searched high and low in one Primark today for the Chip purse, I think I'm going to another one tomorrow to search there too!"
 
 Meanwhile, some lucky owners are selling their purses for around £10.
 
 The surge in interest comes just a week before a remake of the film, starring Emma Watson, hits cinemas on March 17.
 
 It comes as supermarkets urgently recalled ready meals and kids' toys over safety fears.
