BREAKING: New York schools on lockdown as gunman opens fires – three people dead
A GUNMAN has gone on a shooting spree in the New York village of Ellenville, killing three people and putting nearby schools in lockdown.
Three people have been shot dead, and a fourth injured by gunfire, at an apartment block in the village, according to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
Police have swooped on the Canal Lock apartments in Ellenville, Ulster County, around 90 miles north of New York City.
Several schools in the area have been place on lockdown as police deal with the incident.
It is not yet clear whether police have made any arrests in connection with the shooting.
