North Korea gets offer of WW3 talks NEXT WEEK

SOUTH Korea has offered to carry out peace talks with North Korea next week in a desperate bid to reduce escalating tensions.

If tyrant Kim Jong-un accepts, the talks will be held at the border village of Panmunjom in the demilitarised zone (DMZ) in two days.

They will reportedly discuss details of North Korea’s involvement in this year’s Winter Olympics.

The two countries held talks last Tuesday where the regime agreed to send a high-level delegation to the Winter Games in the South

The South also proposed that the two Koreas’ athletes march together at the opening ceremony.

Kim's diplomats did not respond to the offer but said they could “positively” consider it.

The rotund ruler has brought the world close to nuclear war in the past year with a series of reckless missile tests.

The US, South Korea and Japan have stepped up military drills in a response to intimidate the tubby tyrant.

Kim paved the way for talks with during a New Year’s Day speech where he called for reduced tensions on the Korean peninsula.

However, he insisted that North Korea would produce nuclear missiles of operational deployment and vowed to launch a strike if his country was threatened.
