‘On the BRINK’ Russian missile launchers rushed to North Korea border as WW3 fears grow

VLADIMIR Putin has ordered missile launcher crews to rush to the North Korean border as world powers ratchet up the pressure on Kim Jong-un.

The Russian hardman unveiled the upgraded S-400 launchers in a defiant warning to his enemies – raising fears a new World War is imminent.

Each of the batteries can obliterate targets at a range of 372 miles using high-tech tracking systems.

The regiment will now head to the Russia-North Korea border where they will scan airspace in the region.

Putin is also readying Russian marines for war by having them practice landing operations near the secretive state.

Tensions have been running high over Pyongyang’s multiple missile and nuclear tests.

Experts confirmed Kim’s rockets can strike almost any target in the US, which could potentially kill millions.

But US supremo Donald Trump has hit back hard with fiery rhetoric and at one point promised to “utterly destroy” North Korea.

More pressure was piled on the tubby tyrant when Defence Secretary Jim Mattis on Friday told troops “storm clouds” were gathering over the Korean Peninsula.

He added: “My fine young soldiers, the only way our diplomats can speak with authority and be believed is if you’re ready to go.”

Mr Mattis made the comments on the same day the United Nations voted to slap the Hermit Kingdom with harsh new sanctions.
