PRINCE George and Princess Charlotte are hoping to follow in their parents’ footsteps – with the help of some very special Christmas presents.

George, four, has asked Santa for a toy rescue helicopter as he hopes to become a pilot like Wills.

And two-year-old Charlotte has asked Father Christmas for a junior version of mum Kate’s posh pram.

A source said: “After being treated to a tour of a real helicopter on his birthday in Germany earlier this year, George is obsessed with helicopters. He wants to be just like his daddy, flying helicopters and planes.”

George has also asked for a £50 Playmobil space rocket.

For Charlotte, it’s all about being a mini mummy, with her biggest wish being a £350 childsize version of the Silver Cross pram used by Kate.

The source added: “Both Kate and Wills want to keep their kids up to date with technology as they appreciate how our lives are changing.

“So both kids are getting iPads with age appropriate settings for games, developmental programmes and so on – but no internet access!”

The children have already burned their letters to Santa in the fireplace at their home Anmer Hall, Norfolk.
