Toddler hit by ambulance responding to emergency call
A TODDLER in Sussex has been rushed to hospital after being hit by an ambulance.
South East Coast Ambulance said the boy was treated at the scene then taken to Worthing Hospital for further checks.
The ambulance service said it was speaking with the child's family and working with Sussex Police to establish the full circumstances of the accident.
He is not thought to be seriously hurt.
A spokesman confirmed: "The vehicle was responding to a call at the time.
"We are working with police to establish the circumstances.
"Our thoughts are with everyone involved who are obviously extremely distressed.
"We are currently liaising with the child’s family."
It comes as a mum and two sons were killed in a horror crash on the A34.
A couple have been arrested after police found a dead girl stuffed in their luggage.
And earlier this month, This Morning viewers were shocked by the worst case of chickenpox they'd ever seen.
