24/25 June in Ponte de Lima
Olympic Equestrian Adapted
For the second consecutive year, the Academy Equestrian John Cardiga brand presence in the Olympics Adapted Riding, held 24th and 25th June in Ponte de Lima.
Organized under the theme of "Inclusion, Equality and Sport", these "Olympics" has as main objectives; Sharing experiences on equal opportunities, allow for greater interaction with (and) community, raise awareness and promote the practice of therapeutic riding, the equestrian sports competition and promote the person in all its surroundings.
The participation of the Academy John Cardigan, who had the valuable support of Oriflame, GARLAND, NO STRESS and Loyalty, is composed of four teams, including 12 youngsters, from 8 to 25 years, with disabilities and mental valences Riding Therapy, and Adapted Paradressage.
On behalf of Paradressage the valence maximum, in sporting terms, the Riding for therapeutic purposes, is Guilherme Mendes, Opposite of Foja and Sara Duarte and Neapolitan, who continues his preparation for the World Cup to be held in October in the USA.
The training of such teams take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the afternoon in the offices of the AJC in Leceia.
Adapted Riding the Olympics are the responsibility of the Rehabilitation Center of APPACDM Ponte de Lima and the Horse Fair, with the support of several entities.
