Portugal's world champion half marathon
Portugal has won the world champion today by teams of a half marathon INAS-FID, ex aequo with South Africa in the race included in the half-marathon of Bridges, held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The Portuguese national team men's half marathon of the National Association of Sports for Intellectual Disability (ANDDI) joins well over a title of European champion 2009 in Udine (Italy), and the world champion of 2008, in Reims (France ).
The Portuguese team was composed by Bruno Gaspar, who was the best Portuguese race, winning the bronze medal individually, António Soares, Nuno Moreira, Paulo Pinheiro.
Maria da Graça Fernandes went on women, covering the race in 1:50:57 minutes.
The half-marathon of Bridges was marked by rain and lightning, which gave no rest to athletes throughout the race, and also the error of the athletes who were in command of the race, including the South African Mncedi Khanti, Brazilian Giovanni Camilo and the Portuguese Paulo Pinheiro and Anthony Smith.
The two Portuguese did not give up the race benefit the team and eventually travel a greater distance.
