Adapted sports: Lack of funding affects preparing Paralympic athletes
 


 The project Paralympic Londres2012 faces serious economic difficulties, with the athletes to have their preparation affected by the fact that they are receiving scholarships monthly in arrears.

 The International Paralympic Committee of Portugal (CPP), responsible for managing the project, has said that the athletes December 31 this year the payment of grants - ranging between 450 and 161 euro depending on the level - will be delayed four months.

 Speaking to the Lusa news agency, Humberto Santos, president of the CPP, admits delays in payments since 2009 and states that "the project has been paralympic deficit."
