Arsenal legend: Man United star will be wanted by Premier League top six


 
MANCHESTER UNITED captain Wayne Rooney will be wanted by the Premier League’s top sides if he leaves Old Trafford.
 
Rooney has heavily been linked with a move way from the club he has spent the last 13 years at.
 
 The forward has decided to stay until the end of the season, shrugging off interest from the Chinese Super League.
 
 However, his long-term future looks away from the Red Devils and Wilson reckons a move to another English side could be on the cards.
 
 “I would be really surprised if Wayne Rooney decided to go for the money,” he told The Sport Review.
 
 “I still think he has a career in this country, whether it’s at Manchester United or whether Man United would be prepared to let him go to some of their main opposition in the big six clubs.
 
 “I think from his point of view, being a family man with a young family, I can’t believe he would go and live in China.
 
 “There are plenty of clubs that would queue up to have Wayne Rooney on their books.
 
 “He’s born to play football and has been tremendous for the game.
 
 “Both for himself and his family but particularly for the clubs that he’s played.”
