Aston Villa boss Remi Garde weighs up shock January swoop for Arsenal and Liverpool target ASTON VILLA could swoop for Mainz starlet Loris Karius, according to reports.
The 22-year-old was at Manchester City as a youngster but did not make a first team appearance for Manuel Pellegrini's men.
Liverpool and Arsenal have both been linked with the gifted young shot stopper.
But the Sun claim new Villa boss Remi Garde is weighing up a £7m New Year swoop.

He penned a new deal with the with the Bundesliga side in January, but Mainz could be tempted to do business if a Premier League outfit splashes the cash.
Speaking after signing his contract earlier this year, Karius said: "It was not an easy decision for me, but definitely the right one and a decision from the heart.
"For me it is a commitment to the club and our fans. I look forward to the next few years here in Mainz."
