CHELSEA are on course for a titanic Champions League semi-final showdown with Barcelona.

Roberto Di Matteo was a happy man as Chelsea earned a 3-1 aggregate success.

And it means they now face the reigning champions at

Stamford Bridge on April 18 and then at the Nou Camp six days later.

Frank Lampard put the home side in control with a 21st-minute penalty after Javi Garcia bundled over Ashley Cole, and then the visitors had skipper Maxi Pereira sent off.

Chelsea missed a host of chances to put the game out of reach and suffered a nervy few minutes when Garcia pulled one back in the 85th minute.

But Raul Meireles rounded off a memorable night when he raced forward 60 yards before lashing home an unstoppable shot.
