Goncalves medal 
It was excellent athletic performance Goncalves, yesterday during the afternoon in the Regional Arena in Manchester, having reached the gold medal and a silver medal in the proofs of 400 meters and 200 meters respectively, with marks 23.30se 50.27s.
The Brith Paralympic World Cup, is one of the most prestigious international competitions organized by the International Paralympic Committee in conjunction with the Paralympics GB, in which only invited athletes taking part, being grouped as follows, Britain, Europe, America and Rest of World. Goncalves was the only Portuguese player invited to attend the event representing our country.
Welcoming the athletes, the newly elected British Prime Minister, James Cameron, highlighted the importance of the event, stressing that these athletes will be able to compete with some of the best in the world in their methods and disciplines, in a competition that may already feel a little bit of magic that surround the Paralympic Games in London in 2012.
In this year, which runs between 25 and 31 May, in addition to athletics, mark still present arrangements for Swimming, Basketball and Wheelchair Football 7. On this first day of competition and only in deriving the athletics events, the Medalist closed with the following classification:

Europe - 30 medals
