AC MILAN have told Manchester City to slash their £24million price for misfit Mario Balotelli.

The Italian striker (below) has been strongly linked with a move away from the Etihad with the player all packed and ready to go.


The Daily Star Sunday revealed earlier this month that Balotelli was preparing to fly back and had bought a £1m apartment in Brescia, an hour from Milan.


We also exclusively reported he had already started shipping personal belongings to Italy.


Now it is understood Balotelli, 22, has given notice on his Cheshire home where he has never settled since his £22m switch from Inter in 2010.


Milan are interested in rescuing the fiery star’s career but they will not pay more than £15m.


AC vice-president Adriano Galliani said: “I can say there are no talks with City taking place about Balotelli.


“At this point there are no negotiations. This is due to the fact that City have got such a high asking price.


“So we have not pursued the matter. There’s no room for negotiation.”
