MANCHESTER UNITED legend Rio Ferdinand claims Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is unstoppable.
 
The Portuguese ace is now 31, but is showing no signs of slowing down.
 
 And he'll be the key figure for his country in Portugal's Euro 2016 campaign which kicks off tomorrow against Iceland.
 
 “He’s an unstoppable force. Him and Messi are the two most productive players in the history of football – in terms of goals and their ratio," Ferdinand told Match of the Day magazine.
 
 Ferdinand also insists Ronaldo's personality is the key to his success. “Everyone needs to understand he’s doing this based on pure hard work," he added.
 
 "Yes, he’s got supreme talent, rockets in both feet, but he’s worked so hard to get where he is today. He’s a really driven character!
 
 “We all knew he’d be a world-class footballer.
 
 "It was obvious. But if I was to say I knew he’d become a 50-goal a season player…I’d be lying.
 
 "You couldn’t foresee that. And remember he’s doing it playing left wing.
 
 "He’s not playing centre-forward! It’s just wow!”
 
 Since joining Real in 2009, Ronaldo has bagged a staggering 260 goals in 236 games for the La Liga giants.
