Luso joined Elite Athletics for Persons with Disabilities

Held in the past weekend, the National Athletics Championships Portuguese Federation of Sports for Persons with Disabilities (FPDD), on the Trail Center Stage Luso (Aveiro), an organization of FPDD and ANDDI- Portugal, where they were the best athletes in the competition's national sport of the various areas of deficiency.
 
We must highlight the sporty performance of some athletes included in Paralympic Project London 2012 that despite this being only the first moment of evaluation of the time, have proved to be an excellent time to get in shape.
 
Mary Grace Fernandes, class T38, and Nuno Alves, class T11, managed, respectively, with the results obtained in the long jump and proof of 5000 meters, reaching the minimum qualification for the World Championships in Athletics which will take place between January 15 and February 1, 2011, in Christchurch - New Zealand. Goncalves, class T12, in the 200 and 400 meters, Carlos Ferreira, class T11, and Ricardo Vale, class T11, in the 5000 meters and Odete Fiuza, class T12, we managed to reach 1500 meters minimum B.
 
They were also beaten several national records of intellectual disability, especially for athletes with Down syndrome, which bodes well for participation in the 1st World Championship IAADS, which will take place between 7 and September 12 in Puerto Vallarta - Mexico.
 
One last word of appreciation for the human and logistical support of the City Council of Mealhada because without them it would not be possible to achieve this championship.
