Man Utd braced as Real Madrid are backed to launch deal for Old Trafford star David De Gea SPANISH football expert Guillem Balague believes Real Madrid could make a fresh approach for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
He said: "Real Madrid don't make decisions in terms of big signings based on sporting reasons, it is mainly down to business plans.
"De Gea fits the business plan of having a superstar in goal instead of Keylor Navas who is very good.
"So I wouldn't be surprised if they go back for De Gea."
The 24-year-old, who saw a move to Spain collapse due to a paperwork mix-up, assured fans he is happy at Manchester United.
He told Spanish publication Bernabeu Digital: "It was a long summer, a tough summer. But after it all, I am in a great club and I am very happy.
"I renewed my contract and I'm very happy. This is a great club and I hope everything goes well.
"It was a special summer, as I said. But I believe things happen for a reason. I'm in a club where I feel very accepted, respected, loved and am very happy.
"The club has always been fantastic with me and now I will continue with a new contract. I am very happy and I hope we can win titles."
